A coalition of 11 countries will train Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighters at the center, which will be held in Romania in August, Reuters reported.
“We hope to see results early next year,” Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen was quoted as saying by Reuters.
Denmark and the Netherlands, NATO members, are leading the international alliance’s efforts to train pilots and support units.
This political declaration was signed by Portugal, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden and the UK, who “share the conviction that continued support for Ukraine is of paramount importance” in the face of Russian aggression.
