A father drowned after rescuing his son on a beach in the West Mersey, UK. In the June 11 tragedy, 30-year-old David Cole, who held the head of his three-year-old son above the water, died to prevent him from drowning.
Rescue team’Royal National Lifeboat Institute‘ (RNLI) arrived in time to save the child, who was also about to drown after the drowning of the father, who could no longer continue to hold the child. “The rescue team arrived within a few minutes and did everything possible for my partner Dave, but, unfortunately, he could not stand it and died right on the beach,” he said. BBCKatie McDonald, David’s partner and mother of the children, quoted Daily mail.
After the disaster, Katy opened a page on GoFundMe and is trying to raise money for the RNLI in memory of a partner who claims to have been a hero. “Dave was great. He was the best father in the world. All he ever wanted to do with kids was just to have fun and keep them entertained,” he said.
