Twelve drivers were identified last Sunday by the Porto GNR in an illegal case during a modified vehicle control operation in Gaia. Authorities also confiscated 30 cars as a result of the inspection. The defendants are responsible for offenses related to dangerous driving.
The action took place on the A29 highway following an investigation by the Núcleo de Investigação Criminal de Accidentes de Viação GNR do Porto in connection with the practice of dangerous maneuvers near the service area in the Canelas area.
The defendants, aged 20 to 46, were also defendants in 54 administrative offenses for various traffic violations.
21 people aged 20 to 50 were also identified for various offenses and the presence of underage children. These facts were referred to the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth.
The operation was supported by the Port Intervention Detachment (DI) and the Port Intervention Detachment (DAC) of the National Transit Unit.
