The GNR detained 10 people suspected of drug trafficking in various municipalities in the districts of Aveiro and Porto, seizing more than 1,500 doses of drugs, security forces said Sunday.
The GNR said in a statement that two women and eight men, aged 25 to 33, were arrested on Wednesday for drug trafficking in Esmores, Silvalde (Aveiro district) and Matosinhos (Porto district).
“As part of an investigation into a drug trafficking case that lasted for about a year, the Guards began investigative measures that allowed the location of the suspects and culminated in the execution of 12 search warrants, six of which were in residential buildings and six in vehicles,” says the same note.
More than 1,500 doses of cocaine, hashish and cannabis were seized during the searches.
Authorities also confiscated 3,755 euros in cash, five cars, 13 mobile phones, six precision scales and a tablet.
