Twenty-six years after the death of rapper Tupac Shakur, searches were conducted this Monday at a residence in Henderson, Nevada, USA, as part of an investigation into the singer’s murder. Las Vegas Review Journal.
“This is a cold case and we hope one day we can change that,” said Lieutenant Jason Johansson.
Tupac died at the age of 25 in a gunfight in September 1996. The rapper was shot dead after a fight between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon at the MGM Grand Hotel while he was in his car stopped at a red light.
Tupac was in the passenger seat of a BMW driven by producer Marion “Step” Knight when a white Cadillac parked next to the car and several shots were fired, four of which hit the singer.
On his way out of the hotel, the singer was already involved in a fight with Orlando Anderson, a prominent gang member who had also fallen out with Tupac’s Death Row Records crew member.
The rapper died six days after the shooting from respiratory arrest and cardiac arrest.
