This Saturday, a 47-year-old man was taken into custody after a PSP was present at the Estarreja shift court on suspicion of stealing a laptop at the University of Aveiro.
The detainee is also suspected of stealing various computer equipment and a saxophone, which were kept in classrooms.
The warning was given to the PSP by the University of Aveiro. Following the quick steps of the PSP Criminal Investigation Department in Aveiro, the suspect was arrested this Friday at the Aveiro train station. A man from Paredes do Bairo, in Anadia, tried to escape by train.
The thefts caused great social alarm among the student community and were already being investigated by the PSP.
Authorities also confiscated a laptop stolen minutes earlier from the University of Aveiro.
