Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on Monday denounced “serious security risks in the Black Sea” after Russia bombed port infrastructure on the Danube, on the Romanian-Moldova border.
“I strongly condemn the recent Russian attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure on the Danube, very close to Romania,” Iohannis wrote on his Twitter account.
Earlier in the day, images on social media showed a riverside explosion as the Ukrainian port of Reni on the Danube appeared to have been shelled.
