An 85-year-old man was forced to lie down in the rain while waiting for an ambulance after breaking his hip and despite living across the street from the hospital.
Keith Royles was mowing his lawn when he had an accident and broke his hip in Bodelwyddan, northeast Wales. Despite living very close to the hospital, the elderly man lay outside in the rain for seven hours while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
“We called the hospital and asked for an ambulance, but we were told that we would have to wait from four to seven hours,” one of Keith’s daughters told the British newspaper.
