A man and woman who have been married for 79 years have died in Ohio, USA, just hours apart.
Sam, 76, the couple’s son, said his mother fell ill after Thanksgiving and was hospitalized. The life partner was shocked by this news, and he also had to be hospitalized. “He’s broke,” said Sam, quoted by Mirror🇧🇷
June and Hubery, both 100 years old, were in a coma for five days and shared the same hospital room. On November 30, Gurbert died in his sleep, and after 20 hours, on December 1, June left. The son believes that the parents died around the same time because their hearts were broken.
“My father left after seeing his beloved wife’s health deteriorate,” his son said. “They lived a long and happy life together and dedicated themselves to God and family,” he concluded.
The couple met in 1941 at a church in Kentucky, USA, and a year later Hubert proposed to June. They were 20 years old. June and Hubery Malikot shared a beautiful love story. As a result of the marriage, three children were born, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren grew up in the family.
As they celebrated 79 years of marriage, the couple revealed some secrets to keeping their marriage strong and healthy. “We never did anything bad to each other. We never had any fights,” they said.
