A group of gunmen opened fire at a hotel occupied by foreigners, mostly Chinese, in Kabul, Afghanistan this Monday. Three militants were shot down, according to Afghan officials. Two foreigners were injured.
Zabiullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the now Taliban-controlled Afghan government, confirmed the attack and said security forces had killed three militants. The Mujahid also said that the guests were rescued and although there were no deaths, two foreigners were injured, according to information released by G1🇧🇷

Neighborhood residentsand Shahr-e-Naw, which is on the same site as the hotel, said they heard a loud explosion during the shooting. Chinese news agency Xinhua it was revealed that the attack took place near a Chinese guest house and that the embassy was monitoring the situation.
So far, no insurgent group has claimed responsibility for the attack, which comes in the midst of violence claimed by the “jihadist” group Islamic State (IS) in Afghanistan’s urban centers.
