Plastic artist Bordalo II shared this Wednesday photos of some of the signs at Lisbon’s Campo Pequeno with the bullfighting symbols painted red in a clear critique of bullfighting.
“Against bullfighting. Let Campo Pequeno serve only for shows of non-labrego barbarians, ”the artist wrote on Instagram.
The post, which has already gained more than 30,000 likes, has divided opinion on social media.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Bordalo II has spoken out against bullfighting. In 2021, he published an image of the Campo Pequeno bullring with the word “No” in large print.
“Be anticorrida This is a clear sign of progress, we live in 2021 and I don’t see any excuse that there are little perverts who take pleasure in causing harm and others who are happy to see someone suffer, even to death.” he noted. at one point.
