Singers Carolina Delandez and Barbara Tinoco will make their debut in composing music for the theater in the musical The Dawn I Expected, a musical with lyrics by Hugo Gonçalves directed by Ricardo da Rocha, scheduled for 2024.
According to producer Força de Produção, in a statement, in addition to composing music, Carolina Deslandes and Barbara Tinoco will also be presenting in “A Dawn que eu Expected”.
Debut in the representation of Barbara Tinoko, but not Carolina Deslandes, who in 2021 participated in the show “The New Cinderella Without Ice”.
The Dawn I’ve Been Waiting for is an original idea by Hugo Gonçalves, author of books such as Filho da Mãe and Deus Pátria e Família and screenwriter of series such as Rabo de Peixe. This co-production between Força de Produção and Primeira Linha will be directed by Ricardo da Rocha.
Without revealing much about the musical, Força de Produção mentions that “the title of the play, taken from ‘April 25’, one of Sophia de Mello’s most famous poems by Breiner Andresen, lifts the veil on the story that will be filmed. to the stage in the year of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution [25 de Abril de 1974]”.
However, castings will be held for The Dawn I Was Waiting for, applications for which are accepted until September 1.
Interested persons, who must be between 18 and 35 years of age and who must be able to sing and play, must send an email to info@fprodução.pt with biographical details and a video no longer than three minutes with an excerpt from the song and monologue of your choice, which “should be hosted on an online platform (vimeo, youtube, etc.)”.
Production Force says that the entries selected for the audition will receive a response by September 15, and that it will take place on September 25 and 26 in Lisbon.
The show will run from January 2 to April 28, 2024.
