A 78-year-old man was arrested last Friday at Aluisio Alves airport in Natal, Brazil, for attempting to board a plane with 4.7 kilos of cocaine hidden in his bras. The flight was bound for Lisbon.
According to the Brazilian Federal Police (PF), the quantity of the narcotic drug was found after the inspection.
“A total of 36 round bags wrapped in adhesive tape were found in her suitcase, hidden in models of bras containing a drug compacted in the form of a powder that served as a filler,” reads a message posted on the OF’s website.
The Swedish man explained to the Brazilian Federal Police that he was actually meeting with a businessman who offered to cover the cost of his stay in the country.
The man reported that he was approached by an unidentified person at the hotel where he was staying in São Paulo, a few minutes before departure, to travel to Natal. The businessman paid the man’s expenses and gave him a suitcase to be delivered to Paris, France.
The suspect, whose identity has not been released, is guilty of a crime related to international drug trafficking and is currently being held at the PF headquarters.
