The Russian army has advanced in Kharkiv, in eastern Ukraine, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said this Wednesday, indicating that it has repelled new attacks in the south by Ukrainian forces, which account for 30 battles in the past 24 hours.
“On the Kupyansky site [na frente de Kharkiv, leste do país]Assault formations of the military group advanced to the assigned areas and improved their tactical positions,” said Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
The military representative said that Russian units, with the support of aviation and artillery, repelled four Ukrainian attacks on this sector of the front near the cities of Sinkovka (Kharkov), Novogorovka and Novoselovskoe (Lugansk).
