Lawrence Rudolph faces another sentence of 20 years in prison for stealing five million euros from an insurance company when applying for his wife’s life insurance. He was ordered to return the money and pay a fine of 1.8 million euros.
According to court documents, the victim, Bianca Rudolph, a 56-year-old hunter, hoped to add the leopard to her trophy collection. Instead, he was shot in the heart with a shotgun.
Lawrence Rudolph claimed the woman must have fired the shotgun while trying to put it in the suitcase, authorities said at the time of the crime.
The local authorities determined that the firearms were loaded and that normal security measures had not been taken in their storage.
In accordance with The newspaper “New York TimesdDuring the trial in August 2022 Federal prosecutors charged Lawrence with financially murdering his wife and having an affair with mistress Lori Milliron, already sentenced last June to 17 years in prison for being an accessory to the murder.
The dentist denied all the facts. “I didn’t kill my wife for insurance. I didn’t kill my wife to be with Laurie Milliron or anyone else,” he said.
State federal prosecutors Colorado however, they argued that “the evidence presented at the trial proves beyond reasonable doubt that Lawrence Rudolph murdered his wife Bianca”, aiming to “make the murder look like an accident”.
