A flawless female giraffe was born at the Brights Zoo in Tennessee, the only recorded specimen with this feature.
The animal was born on July 31, but only recently the zoo decided to glorify this unique giraffe.
According to Brights Zoo, the animal is 1.80 meters tall and is currently in the care of its mother. The zoo believes that with the birth of this giraffe, it will be possible to draw public attention to actions against the illegal hunting of wild giraffes.
“The international coverage of our flawless giraffe has brought much needed attention to the conservation of this animal,” Tony Bright, founder of the Brights Zoo, told WCYB, quoted by Tony Bright. The keeper.
In a social media post, the zoo announced a competition in the name of the giraffe. Four variants are mentioned: Kipekae, which means unique in Swahili, Firali, which means unusual or extraordinary, Shaqiri, which means “the most beautiful”, and Jamella, which represents someone or something of incredible beauty.
In the same publication, the zoo refers to a non-profit organization “Save the Giraffes Now” US state of Texas.
“We want future generations to have the opportunity to see these wonderful animals,” you can read in the publication.
The zoo will announce the name of the giraffe on September 4th.
