Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov submitted his resignation to the speaker of parliament on Monday, he said in an X publication (formerly Twitter).
“I sent a letter of resignation to Ruslan Stefanchuk. Speaker of the Parliament of Ukraine. It was an honor for me to serve the Ukrainian people and work for the army. over the past 22 months, the most difficult period in the modern history of Ukraine,” he said.
Zelensky said this Sunday that he had decided to change the defense minister and that he will ask parliament to replace him with Rustem Umerov, head of Ukraine’s main privatization fund.
