This Thursday, Velos de Aveiro firefighters rescued a 62-year-old woman from the bottom of a well at União de Freguesias de Requeixo, Nossa Senhora de Fátima and Nariz in Aveiro, according to a source at the corporation.
An alarm about a man who fell into a well in Taipa was raised around 09:00.
According to Velhos de Aveiro fire chief Carlos Pires, the woman’s body had already been collected by firefighters, awaiting the arrival of a medical delegate to confirm the death.
A PNP source told Lusa that the victim, who has already been identified by family members, is a woman who lives nearby and left the house this morning.
There is also a GNR research center that is looking into the causes of this incident.
