The president also admitted that smoke from fires near the road was the cause of the car crash that caused the accident.

A total of 20 people were burned to death on Thursday in Mozambique’s Manica province after the overloaded passenger transport they were traveling in collided with a truck and overturned.

They were in a passenger transport van with a capacity of 15 passengers, 22 passengers, of whom only two survived the accident, he continued.
The police, who sent a fire brigade to the scene, promised to comment on the incident on Friday.
