On Friday, at 23:11 local time (same time in Lisbon), an earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale with its epicenter in the city of Igil, 63 kilometers southwest of the city of Marrakech, killed at least 1,037 and more people. More than 1,200 were injured, according to Morocco’s Interior Ministry.
