In his speech at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Ukrainian president called on everyone to unite to “defeat” Russia “so that the world can focus on global problems.”
Zelensky also announced on Tuesday that he was preparing a global peace summit, according to Reuters.
“Ukraine is doing everything to ensure that after Russian aggression no one in the world dares to attack any nation,” said the Ukrainian president, emphasizing that “the occupier must return to his land.”
The Ukrainian leader also accuses Moscow of trying to manipulate global food shortages to gain international recognition of lands it has seized from Kyiv.
Zelensky criticizes Russia for what he says was “an attempt to weaponize food shortages on the world market in exchange for recognition of some, if not all, captured territories.”
