Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and US President Joe Biden are already meeting at the White House. Zelensky said this Thursday that he had a frank and constructive dialogue with American lawmakers and that he hopes to discuss Ukraine’s military needs and air defense with Joe Biden, Reuters reports.
The White House announced this Thursday that the United States will supply Ukraine with “critical” defense capabilities, but for now will not provide the ATACMS long-range missiles requested by Kiev.
The President of the United States “decided that he would not provide [mísseis] ATACMS, but did not rule out such a possibility in the future,” National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan said at a press conference.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this week it would be a “disappointment” if he did not return to Kyiv without these powerful tactical missiles.
