Azerbaijan’s military killed five Russian soldiers on Wednesday by shooting at their car after they were “confused” by Armenian separatists, Azerbaijan’s prosecutor general said. According to the same source, on the same day, a sixth Russian soldier was killed by “unidentified members of the Armenian armed forces” who fired at his car.
The Russian Defense Ministry previously reported the deaths of Russian soldiers on Wednesday, without specifying their number.
