Motorcycle No. 4, involved in a fatal accident this Friday evening in Cabeceiras de Basto, was removed from the scene by friends of the victim. When the GNR patrol from Cabeceiras de Basto arrived on the EN206 road in Ribeiro do Arco, they found only one bicycle.
Security guards realized that the motorcycle could not have been the vehicle involved in the incident, and after some investigation, they found the motorcycle in the possession of people close to the motorcyclist. It appears that 24-year-old Daniel Nabo, who died in the accident, was not licensed to drive a vehicle of this type.
The GNR Braga Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident and the reasons for the seizure and concealment of the motorcycle.
Cabecirense firefighters were alerted to a traffic accident. Daniel Nabo suffered cardiopulmonary arrest and was subjected to resuscitation procedures, but was unable to withstand the severity of his injuries.
Death was confirmed by the Guimarães ambulance and resuscitation team. Braga’s ambulance and INEM’s team of psychologists were also mobilized to the scene.
