A 67-year-old man was attacked in the chest with a hammer by another man this Saturday afternoon in the Vila Nova de Gaia area.
The brutal attack, which was captured on video, took place around 6:15 pm this Saturday in the Quinta dos Cubos area of Oliveira do Douro. In the video that CM had access, aggression visible, to the door of the house. It can also be seen that the attacker was accompanied by another man.
The victim suffered chest injuries and was treated by the Avintes Fire Department and taken to the Santos Silva Hospital in Gaia. The PSP patrol, supported by members of the rapid response teams, was called to the scene, and upon arrival, the assailant and alleged accomplice had already fled.
The incident happened in the same area where a week ago, also late Saturday, a 47-year-old man was seriously injured in a stabbing. A 51-year-old woman was also injured in the incident, and another man was transported to hospital.
