The Israeli Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition party have agreed to form an emergency government and a military cabinet, the agency reports. Reuters in this Wednesday. The information is contained in the official joint statement.
During the fighting with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the emergency government will not promote any policies unrelated to the conflict.
The war cabinet will consist of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, National Unity Party leader Benny Gantz and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Two other senior officials will serve as “observers.”
This Wednesday, the death toll in the conflict between the Islamic group Hamas and Israel exceeded two thousand.
