Next year, Rock in Rio Lisboa will change its location, replacing the traditional Parque da Bela Vista with the new Parque Tejo-Trancão, the main stage of World Youth Day held last August. The festival, which celebrates Portugal’s 20th anniversary, will take place on June 15, 16, 22 and 23.
“This will, without a doubt, be a historical event, born out of the invitation of the President of the Lisbon City Council, Carlos Moedas, to debut in the Tagus Park Lisbon as a venue for major post-WYD events, while taking advantage of this opportunity to restore the Bela Vista meadow, a need that we have already pointed out many times years,” Roberta Medina, vice president of Rock in Rio, explained Thursday during the presentation of the 2024 edition, adding that “relations with the local Bela Vista community Bela Vista will continue to operate as it always has.”
