A 15-year-old man walked into a school in Sao Paulo, Brazil, armed with a gun and fired multiple shots, killing a classmate and injuring three others. Information was distributed through the portal G1, with reference to the Brazilian state government.
The suspect, a student at Eskola Sapopemba School, was arrested. The victims received gunshot wounds to the chest and collarbone and were taken to the hospital.
“The Government of Sao Paulo deeply regrets and stands in solidarity with the families of the victims of the attack that occurred this Monday morning (23) at the public school of Zapopemba. At the moment, the priority is to provide assistance to victims and provide psychological support to students, educators and families,” the government statement said.
