Angola no longer requires an international yellow fever vaccination certificate from citizens of the 148 countries considered free of the disease, including Portugal, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe, Mozambique and Timor-Leste.
The presidential decree, which Lusa reviewed and which came into force on October 26, states that in some countries yellow fever does not pose a threat to public health, and establishes measures aimed at, on the one hand, prevention, and, on the other, . On the other hand, on the other, a reduction in bureaucracy when citizens enter and leave these countries.
An international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever has until now been the main requirement for entry into Angola, which recently moved to exempt tourist visas for 98 countries, including Portugal.
