A woman has been accused of killing her five-year-old grandson, who was found stabbed to death in January last year in the house where they both lived in Coventry, England.
David-Mario Lazar was found in critical condition with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency services, death was pronounced on the spot.
Grandmother Elena Angek, 50, who was looking after her grandson at the time, was immediately arrested. According to Mirrorthe woman remains in a psychiatric hospital until the trial, which is scheduled for June this year.
“Our son was the most beautiful child in the world. He was a very happy boy,” Mario’s parents wrote in a Facebook post, where they posted a photo of themselves with their son. “He was always smiling from waking up to sleeping. He had so much energy. He loved to dance and sing. He is all our heart, all our love and everything for both of us,” they wrote.
The boy’s parents, Christina and Dorinel, also promised never to forget their son.
