North Korea’s Foreign Ministry this Saturday condemned US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s warnings about Pyongyang’s rapprochement with Moscow, saying they “only exacerbate dangerous political and military tensions” on the peninsula.
During a visit to Seoul this week, the US diplomat said he was concerned about North Korea’s “growing and dangerous military cooperation with Russia” and called on Beijing, Pyongyang’s main ally, to use its influence to avoid military testing.
Pyongyang condemned Blinken’s statements, calling them “irresponsible and provocative.” The remarks “only increase dangerous political and military tensions on the Korean Peninsula and in the region,” North Korea’s Foreign Ministry said, according to North Korea’s official news agency KCNA.
