Four hooded thieves beat and tied up a restaurant businessman, his wife and daughter this Monday during a robbery in Figueiro, Amarante. The group had a firearm (or replica) and threatened the family. The robbers fled with money, jewelry and a car. GNR representatives attended the scene, but the case has now been transferred to the Porto Judicial Police, which is investigating the whereabouts of the violent gang.
The robbery was reported shortly after 2:30 a.m. The group managed to get inside the house and surprised the family, leaving them terrified. The first report said the woman had been hit in the face. However, the case turned out to be more serious: the kidnapping and attack of a man, the owner of an event farm, and his family.
The robbery took place on one of the main streets of Figueiro. The group already knew the area as well as the daily routine of the victims and planned the robbery in detail, knowing that they kept money and valuables in the house. At the moment, it is not yet known how much money the robbery brought to the robbers.
PJ has already visited the house and collected the traces left behind. The victims were unable to accurately describe the group, which operated with their faces covered.
