Poisonous mushrooms poison mother and daughter

The food was prepared Tuesday at the family home in Mirandela. The next day symptoms appeared: vomiting and diarrhea. Both women went to the Mirandela Hospital, where doctors confirmed a serious clinical condition as a result of liver failure.

The mother and daughter were initially hospitalized in Mirandela, but due to the seriousness of the situation, the young woman was transferred to the Santo Antonio Hospital in Porto for a liver transplant. The mother, due to her age, is not eligible for a transplant and for this reason remains hospitalized at the Mirandela Hospital.

The clinical picture is quite restrained, but develops favorably.
