A motorcyclist died this Saturday morning, at 11:21, after a collision with a tractor on Estrada Nacional 335.1, in Bizarros, Azarede, in the municipality of Montemor o Velho.
The driver and sole passenger of the motorcycle were thrown several meters after colliding with a tractor.
The victim, a 38-year-old man, was treated at the scene by Cantanhede firefighters as Montemor o Velho firefighters’ pre-hospital resources were involved in other incidents requiring emergency medical attention.
INEM personnel were also at the scene and helped stabilize the victim, who was escorted by the medical team to the hospital and university center of Coimbra. The man could not bear the severity of his injuries and died in the hospital.
Representatives of the State Police arrived at the scene and are investigating the cause of the incident.
