Robert Glynn was diagnosed with aggressive cancer and given only a year to live by doctors, but thanks to a UK-tested drug, he recovered.
The 51-year-old, who lives in Worsley, Manchester, England, said he “wouldn’t be here” were it not for the results of his immunotherapy test. Robert was diagnosed with intrahepatic bile duct cancer the day before his 49th birthday. The cancer then spread to other organs, such as the liver.
“I asked my doctor to be honest and tell me how much time I will have if I continue like this. She said 12 months,” says Robert Glynn.
According to the newspaper The keeperthe man was considered a good candidate to participate in clinical trials of an immunotherapeutic drug that had already been approved for use in lung, kidney, and esophageal cancers.
Thanks to the treatment, Robert’s tumor decreased, which later allowed the man to undergo surgery to remove the tumor.
Eventually Robert Glynn made a full recovery. “One of the nurses said it was a miracle. I don’t like that word, but it’s definitely wonderful,” added Robert.
