The United Nations condemned on Tuesday the weekend attack on three young men of Palestinian origin in Burlington, Vermont, northeast of the United States.
“We condemn this violence. (…) Although it is still under investigation, (…) the signs of hatred are probably quite obvious, and there is no place for hatred and fanaticism against Islam and any other form of hatred,” Stéphane Dujarric, official Representative of the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
Dujarric wished a speedy recovery to three young men: Hicham Awartani, Kinnan Abdalhamid and Tahsin Ahmad, 20, who, according to a police report, were walking down the street Saturday night when a man began shooting without saying a word.
