PJ union denies criticism from PSP and GNR, which are accused of misinformation

The Union of Criminal Investigations of the Judicial Police (ASFIC/PJ) has rejected criticism from the PSP and GNR unions about the new addition to the mission for PJ professionals, accusing them of misinformation and slander.

In its statement, ASFIC/PJ said it was necessary to “set the record straight” about the government’s 14-month supplement announced last week for performing duties in risky, unhealthy and difficult conditions, which has sparked attacks and threats from unions representing other police forces. who complain about differences in treatment, remembering that this premium will replace the previous risk subsidy.

“For many years the risk grant was the only subsidy in the criminal investigation career of the judicial police; with the promulgation of this new diploma, it will no longer be obtained, and criminal investigation officers will receive an increase in the mission in the judicial police. This is a hint at the various challenges of the role, not just the risk,” he emphasized.

ASFIC/PJ also stressed that it “does not tolerate misinformation, comparisons between incomparables (careers and categories of varying degrees of difficulty) and, sometimes, even slander that criminal investigation specialists associated with ASFIC/PJ have been targeted.” other organizations, including trade unions.”

Stressing that PJ specialists, “unlike what happens in other forces and security services,” do not have “multiple subsidies or allowances,” ASFIC/PJ President Carla Pinto emphasized that since 1990 there has been only one subsidy risk – 478 .gross euros are the same for all career categories and that the allowance compensating for risk, unhealthy conditions, deprivation and exclusivity is not regulated as of 2020.

Although all security forces and services “must be properly remunerated”, the PS union also came to clarify the value that the new addition could represent for its specialists, which could mean an increase of almost 700 euros per month, according to the government.

“The amount paid has a maximum limit of one third of the salary, so the figures published and reproduced in the message can never reach the mentioned values,” he pointed out.

The new mission allowance for the SP was approved on November 29 by the Council of Ministers, with the Ministry of Justice stating that it will be paid along with the monthly salary, “expecting that it will be updated annually, depending on the update of the basic remuneration, which serves as a guideline.”
