McGregor believed that the main competitors in the presidential race would be Gerry Adams, Bertie Ahern and Enda Kenny.
The mixed martial arts fighter said in the publication that Irish parties “rule themselves rather than rule the people”, something Conor McGregor believes would not have happened if he had been elected. “I am 35 years old. Young, active, passionate, with a fresh perspective on the game. I’m listening to. I support. I’m adapting. I have no affiliation/prejudice/favoritism with any party. I will be truly held accountable when that happens. “I would even put it all to a vote. Votes would be held every week to be sure. I can fund it. I wouldn’t be in power as President, the people of Ireland. It would be me and you,” he wrote.
Elon Musk supported the fighter’s intention, reacting to McGregor’s post as follows: “I think you could beat them all on your own. It’s not even fair.”
