The mother helped the Civil Guard in Valencia, Spain, stop a criminal group that recruited minors by hiding them under the influence of drugs in a house to rape them later. Authorities managed to apprehend two suspects.
The mother of one of the victims, according to a Spanish newspaper. El Pais, she pretended to be a minor and contacted one of the detainees, which led to the location of the girls, who had lived in a house in Gandia for a week. It was in this room that they were drugged and forced to have sex with several men. The Instituto Armado de España describes the mother’s cooperation as “vital”.
When the man tried to catch the infiltrated mother, the Valencian Civil Guard took the opportunity to organize an operation to find out where the girls were.
The young women were transferred to the Hospital de Gandia in Spain.
Operation Alike began at the end of June last year following a complaint about the disappearance of two young women in the Valencian district of La Safor, the Civil Guard said on Monday.
At the end of October, two of the attackers were detained, aged 37 and 50, and the search for the third suspect, aged 20, continues. Also in the Picassent prison in Valencia is a 43-year-old man who is being investigated for possible links to a criminal group. All of them are charged with crimes of sexual abuse of minors.
