A collision between two subway trains in Beijing as snow lashed the Chinese capital left 515 people injured, including 102 with fractures, authorities said Friday.
The accident occurred on Thursday evening in a mountainous area west of Beijing, on the surface of the Changping Line.
Due to the slippery rails, the train ahead automatically braked. The train behind him was on a downhill stretch, skidded and was unable to brake in time, the municipal transportation department said in a statement.
