They met in a cafe and had sex at least three times, always at the 60-year-old cellist’s home in Boavista, Porto. Knowing that every day at 23:00 the musician took medication to sleep soundly, the woman decided to develop a plan according to which, together with three accomplices, she stole the victim’s cello (built by the master Antonio Capela) worth 30 thousand euros. , silver, a watch collection, bank cards and a car – the total value of which is 100 thousand euros.
It all happened on July 14 last year. With the help of her boyfriend and two other men, they stole a large ladder and climbed it to enter through a third-floor window at the back of the musician’s home. Once inside the house, always while the victim was asleep, they stole items, which they then sold cheaply on the Internet – now only the car has been recovered.
Before fleeing, they locked the bedroom door and took the musician’s mobile phone so that he would not be able to call for help when he woke up. The cellist was kidnapped from his home for 23 hours. It was only at 22:00 the next day that the children, finding the lack of contact with their father strange, discovered him arrested.
All four suspects, aged between 30 and 44, are drug addicts and have now been arrested by Porto police. After the crime, they quarreled over the failure to provide money for things. The judge kept them free with fortnightly appearances, even though they had no known permanent address.
