A woman of about 50 years old was seriously injured this Sunday afternoon after she was stabbed by her ex-partner in the Paso parish of Arcos de Valdevez.
According to morning Post According to a GNR source, the crime took place at around 6:45 pm this Sunday at the couple’s home. A warning was issued for “areas that heard screams.”
According to the same source, the Brazilian couple “were separated but continued to live in the same house.”
After being rescued and stabilized, the woman was taken to the São João Hospital in Porto with injuries considered serious. The attacker, also around 50 years old, fled the scene but was eventually discovered by the PNP and handed over to the Braga Judicial Police, who will now investigate the contours of the crime.
Volunteer firefighters from Ponte da Barca, an emergency medical team from Arcos de Valdeves and an ambulance and resuscitation vehicle from Alto Minho were mobilized to assist the victim.
