A news helicopter crashed in New Jersey, US, killing the pilot and photographer on board, WPVI-TV reported Wednesday.
“The pilot and photographer from our news team were in the helicopter when it crashed while returning from a mission off the Jersey Shore” Tuesday night, ABC affiliate WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, reported.
“Both crew members have died,” announced the station, which did not release their names pending notification of family members.
The crash happened shortly after 8 p.m. (1 a.m. Wednesday in Lisbon) in a wooded area in Washington Township, Burlington County.
“New Jersey State Police officers were able to locate the scene on the ground. It is very difficult to access due to its location in the woods,” the police department said, without specifying the cause of the incident.
