A group of elderly people were caught on video stealing medicines from a pharmacy in northern Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The unusual robbery took place on Monday at dawn, and CCTV footage shows three elderly people entering the pharmacy in the dark and reaching the shelves with flashlights.
The robbers took dozens of medicines, the damage is estimated at more than 12 thousand euros. According to the newspaper O Globo, the owner of a pharmacy located in Bairro, Engenio Novo, explained that several shelves were empty, and the trio of robbers left only generic drugs. On the other hand, no money was needed.
Brand-name drugs for osteoarthritis, cholesterol, blood pressure, and anticoagulants were stolen.
Authorities are now trying to identify the robbers who fled the scene in a car. However, the police in the area have been reinforced.
