The designated head of South Korea’s National Intelligence Service (NIS) said Thursday that he considers North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s daughter the “most likely successor.”
“Based on an analysis of his public activities and the level of respect shown to him in the North since his first public appearance, [a filha] Kim Ju-ae seems the most likely successor,” Cho said during a parliamentary hearing of the committee responsible for ratifying his appointment to the NIS.
However, Cho said the NIS is leaving all possibilities of succession for the Kim regime open since the current leader is still young – believed to be 41 – and does not appear to have any serious health problems, as well as many other variables, including having more Children of Kim Jong-un.
