According to the Public Security Police, this Friday a man robbed a bank branch at gunpoint in Camara de Lobos on the island of Madeira, noting that the investigation has been transferred to the Judicial Police. The man stole 240 thousand euros.
According to a source from the PSP regional command in Madeira, the robbery took place around 8:30 a.m. when a man with his face covered by a mask entered the Caixa Geral de Depósitos branch in the center of Camara de Lobos. municipality adjacent to Funchal to the west, brandishing a suspected firearm.
According to information collected by the police, the robber threatened employees and users, and then fled with a large amount of money, remaining at large.
There were no reports of casualties after the attack.
The PSP initially claimed responsibility for the incident, but the matter was referred to the judicial police, who have not yet provided any information on the matter.
