Argentine President Javier Miley warned this Wednesday at the World Economic Forum in Davos that “the Western world is in danger” because of ideas “that lead inexorably to socialism and therefore to poverty.”
“The major leaders of the Western world have, unfortunately, abandoned the idea of freedom in recent years in favor of various versions of what we call collectivism,” Miley said.
“Collectivist experience is never the solution to problems,” the Argentine president warned in a speech in Davos, Switzerland, after a meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron.
Javier Miley makes his first international trip since becoming Argentina’s head of state on December 10, after traveling domestically to Bahia Blanca (in the province of Buenos Aires) due to a storm that hit the area in mid-2019. and recently to Antarctica to present an environmental project.
