Just months after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Sarah Ferguson, 64, is now suffering from skin cancer.
The news was officially announced by a representative of the Duchess of York, specifying that Sarah suffers from “malignant melanoma.”
Also according to this source, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife had several spots removed and analyzed by a dermatologist, spots that were discovered during reconstructive surgery following a mastectomy for breast cancer.
One of the spots turned out to be cancerous. The disease, however, was discovered very prematurely and Sarah Ferguson now intends to use her case to raise awareness of the need for screening, a spokesman for the duchess also said.
