On Tuesday morning, the Judicial Police (SP) detained a man suspected of planning an attack on the President of the Republic. you know morning Post that the person will be heard this Wednesday in court.
The threats reached Marcelo through a letter containing a bullet and where the man demanded a payment of one million euros in order not to shoot the president. Inside the letter was mobile phone and a written threat – with a bank account number.
The detainee, who was already known to the authorities for robbery in relation to several people, also has a criminal record for extortion and computer crimes, having already served time for extortion.
Marcelo Rebelo de Souza confirmed morning Postfirsthand that he received the letter. The JV assessed all remaining evidence and the process was referred to DIAP.
On Tuesday, the suspect was detained in a high-security operation.
The judicial police said in a statement that a search was conducted at the suspect’s home on Tuesday, culminating in the seizure of several pieces of evidence.
