This Tuesday, the SP is carrying out searches in the parish councils of Santo António and São Domingos de Benfica in Lisbon, the two presidents of these PSD/CDS-PP municipalities confirmed to Lusa.
The chairman of the parish council of Santo António, Vasco Morgado, confirmed to Lusa that searches related to the “tutti-frutti operation” had been carried out, adding that he had no further information.
The president of the parish council of São Domingos de Benfica, José da Camara, told Lusa that authorities were carrying out searches related to contracts signed by that municipality from 2011 to 2014.
The CDS-PP responded to the news of the searches in a statement. The party explained that “the Lisbon council deprived the elected CDS-PP mayors of political confidence without any justification, solely because the elected CDS/PP did not approve of the alleged corruption being investigated, the so-called “Tutti-Frutti” case.” .”
The CDS-PP claims that “a coalition exists between the PSD and the IL.”
“We were categorically against the hiring of the activist, the current wife of the president of the Lisbon district of the SDS-PP, for a position in the above-mentioned parish council. The SDS-PP, included in the “New Times” list, flatly refused to hold any paid positions, since they did not agree with the million-dollar agreements concluded by the coalition partner (SDP).”
